"Modernist building from 1900 by Francesc Berenguer i Mestres for Count Güell, patron of Gaudí. The construction is included in the Catalogue and Special Plan for the Protection and Rehabilitation of the Architectural Heritage of the municipality of Castelldefels. Masia Poal is listed in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia. It is located next to the Garraf Natural Park where Count Güell had land and vineyards. The implantation on a sloping terrain favors the division of the complex into basement volumes, the main floor, with the largest openings, and the attic body, with the small continuous openings, of manorial tradition. Building with ground floor, first floor and gables with a stone facade. The factory is made of old beige stone partitions and the corners, voussoirs, lintels, dripstones or balconies, are of roughly worked white stone. The eaves of the roof are ceramic, as well as the chimney and the course of Windows. The roof of the main building, where the entrance is located, has four steep slopes and is finished with glazed ceramic tiles in the form of "trencadís." The house reflects the influence of Gaudí, with its funicular-style arches in the vestibule, the modernist stained-glass window, and the staircase. The south-facing house has a wine cellar attached to the east side. It also has an auxiliary building used as a house for housekeepers, a water well (POAL), and an area for a vegetable garden.
